Soapbox Promo & Gifts is a concept that specialises in the supply of large volume branded corporate clothing and gifts to corporate companies, SME’s, government departments, schools, clubs and a wide variety of customers.

Soapbox Promo & Gifts was established in August 2007 with one four-head embroidery machine and one employee. Our quality workmanship and service excellence soon became well-known and well respected within the industry. We grew from a client base of 74 customers working out of our garage in 2007, to having more than 5000 clients today, of which the biggest are TrenTyre nationally, Michelin and BF Goodridge, Medshield, Medihelp, Dros, Strata and Amcoal mine groups.

As the demand for our services grew, the need arose to expand the business and in June 2010 we acquired Gear Dimension, an embroidery company that had been running since 2004. This acquisition increased our production capacity by 400%.

In the last three years, Soapbox has grown considerably due to a number of industry-first innovations. Soapbox established itself as the first and remains the only supplier in South Africa boasting at first, a 72-hour money back guarantee on embroidery, and in 2016 im-proved on this offering by adding a 24-hour money-back guarantee on embroidery. Together with improvisation by the major suppliers in the market, we can now deliver 24 hour bran-ding on 170 corporate gifting items and embroider an average of 1000  logo’s in 24 hours.

Soapbox is currently one of the largest suppliers of branded corporate clothing and gifts in South Africa as well as the largest Barron supplier in Pretoria, partnering with Barron, Amrod, Altitude, Captivity Headwear, Headwear 24 and Mass Supply within the corporate clothing and gifts sector.

Our experienced staff strive to understand our customers’ needs, research solutions, finalise quotes, process orders and do on-time and within budget deliveries.

Head Office

SOAPBOX is based in Silverton, Pretoria, South Africa. Training is conducted at our head office and launch support is given within each franchise area. Launch support is given through pre-opening local marketing, social media marketing, specials and promotions. Ongoing support, once the franchisee is operating, is vital to our business success and the success of individual franchise owners. Ongoing support is provided through hands on support, evaluations and one on one meetings with each franchisee once a month through the creation of sustainable business plans and marketing strategies.

State of the art branding solutions are available from our suppliers, namely Amrod, Barron and Altitude. They have a 24 hour turnaround service on some of their products and gifts. Certain terms and conditions will apply to this turnaround time.

Franchises are available in cities and previously selected, viable country towns all over South Africa. Each franchise is granted a trading territory of (5/10 or 20 kilometres) within an area of a large city. A smaller town with surrounding towns in close proximity will only sustain one franchisee and this exclusivity may be granted to the franchisee at the time of signing a franchise agreement.

The viability of the franchise area is determined before hand through market research, population density studies, business density studies and the like.)  New products and services are tested at the head office owned franchise in Silverton before it is rolled-out to franchises.
